Through September 1, 2020, the AEP Ohio Columbus 10K offers bib number transfers to everyone for any reason at no cost to you!
You ask, I signed up to run, but now I'm super bummed to find out that I can't. Is there any way I can transfer my registration to someone else?
Race Director Andy answers, Of course! Sign into your account at RunSignUp.com that you used to register for the AEP Ohio Columbus 10K. Click on "My Registered Races", and then select "Edit/View Registration". On the "Edit/View Registration" page, go to the tab labeled "Transfer to Another Runner". Follow the instructions on the page to perform a registration gift (your friend gets a free entry courtesy of you!) or a registration transfer (you get a refund less processing fees and your friend pays the registration fee to complete the transfer). You can also view the help topic here: https://help.runsignup.com/support/solutions/articles/17000062921-transfer-to-another-runner
Why is this important? On race day, your bib number is your primary source of identification and is linked to your registration account which helps us process awards quickly. If something were to happen to you on the course, your bib number is the first step in finding out who your emergency contact is. We also hand out a number of awards on race day, and if your number is worn by someone else the accuracy of our results is affected when runners are placed in an incorrect age and/or gender category.
